Get a friend out of trouble?

Hey guys, so I made a mistake today and I wish I never have done it, I will tell you all the details and tell you what happened:

Alright so me and my friend, who play high school football, were stretching before a workout and I was fooling around with him and he began to screw around as well. and then one of our coaches yelled toward our direction "Who is screwing around over there!?" And I put the blame on him when in fact I started all of this and caused this crap. He got in trouble and now he's super pissed at me and I feel so bad..is there anything I can do to fix this...? This is all my fault and I just want to find a way to fix all of this and to let my coach know that this was all my fault. Thank you and have a good day.
