Is not AA traditionally attended only by persons with drinking problems, or should it be?

AA would be A^2, since you put this in the math section. What else do you need to know?

i guess it depends on how one sees the issue of "drinking problems"!
there are two major types of aa meetings:
1... closed meetings, only those who shall state "i am an alcoholic" are supposed to attend... if the person can not state they are an alcoholic there's a good chance they shall be asked to leave...
2... open meetings, these meetings can be attended by any one who is not disruptive... often some one who is wondering just what is aa can be found there...
"the only requirement for aa membership is a desire to not drink again"
alcoholism is a progressive illness and given long enough any one can become addicted to alcohol... addiction can be one or more of the following:
1... physical addiction
2, emotional addiction
some become aa members before either of these take place 'cause they do not want to become emotionally or physically addicted to alcohol... others wait until they have reached one or both forms before realizing they have a drinking problem...
aa is not just about stopping drinking, it is about having coping mechanisms that can be used to deal with life's problems instead of drinking, anger, resentments to mention a few...
numerous claim i was never a alcoholic, and maybe they are right... by doing the 12 steps i learned how to deal with life with out drinking... i had two choice at that time- climb in the bottle and never come back out or to do the program and learn how to live life on life's terms! i elected to learn to live life on life's terms... to do that i went to aa...

Well...... AA is the handiest thing that ever happened to addicts - so ALL the addicts want to go there. But the alcoholics often complain that their meetings are being taken over by issues which don't concern them - like overeating or "addicted to sex".
AA really works - from what I've heard. I only went to one meeting as a guest, but it was remarkable to see pretty scary guys dealing with problems and being off their sauce - using their heads for maybe the first time in their lives. But I can well understand if a bunch of alcoholics want to restrict the meetings for alcoholics/narcotics only.

Mathematically AA stands for "angle, angle" and is a postulate used to show that two triangles are similar.
If two triangles have two of their angles equal, the triangles are similar.
In general, two triangles are similar if all *three* of their angles are similar, but we can show that with only two of the angles. From the Angle Sum Theorem, if we know two of the angles, the third can be derived because the angles in a triangle add up to 180°.
I'm not sure about the rest of your question regarding drinking problems because I'm not sure how it relates to mathematics.
