Eigenvalues of A are given. Find det(B) and tr(B) when B is similar to A.?

Update:

A is a 3X3 matrix.

-1, 2, 5 are its eigenvalues.

Learn these 2 important properties :

    1) trace of any matrix = sum of all the

    eigen values of that matrix

    2) determinant of any matrix =

multiplication of all the eigen values of

    that matrix

It is given that B is similar to A

    So,

    det(B)=det(A)= (-1)×2×5=-10

    trace(B)=trace(A)= (-1)+2+5=6
