I mean i'm gonna be turning 22 and I look at some people younger than me now and its like this at that age its not really nothing different but at some point when u get 19 u should be done woke up to reality an matured a lil bit more by then. when I was 18 I start trying to tighten myself up since I was done with high school and graduated, when I turned 19 I played around a little bit but then I started to become serious. really I think it depends on the person b/c everyone is different & u got immature ppl around that age & u got mature ppl around that age. here it is I'm near my 22nd birthday and all I'm interested in is living my life, working & settle down. a lot of ppl tell u to wait to have kids to wait to get married, but its ur life. idk but being either 18 or 19 doesn't matter at that age its time to plan on what ur going to do with yourself an your life. u should be done graduated from high school & received your diploma & go off to college or try to get a job. js

Much depends on which 18-year-old and which 19-year-old you are asking about. And where in the world.

Some youngsters are fairly mature at 17 years. Others are still "immature" in their outlook in their mid 20s.

Some young children, 10 years or younger, have to grow up fast in some parts of the world when their parents etc are killed in wars.

Though typically, I don't think there's much difference in maturity between those ages. It's not like all of sudden when you turn 19 you are "magically" more mature than when you are 18; or at least for most people.

It more or less depends on your personality. Even at younger ages Freshman or even middle school kids can be more mature than their peers and their upperclassmen. But if your talking physically then that depends on your genes to but to a greater extent for males. Males don't fully develop until between the ages of 18-23 and start maturing on average later than girls. So, an 18yo male and an 18yo female may look very different in their development as, the female has more often than not finished puberty or is almost finished while the male is about halfway through.
