Is this a good way of asking my crush out?

so i told him whenever i get a hold of the textbook that i would send the pdf to him but since the file size is very big i was thinking of putting it on a usb and give it to him. that way i'll have an excuse to hang out with him alone a big so was thinking of messaging him saying " hey (name) i got the textbook but will only give it to you on one condition." and then when he asks what is it i'll say " u have to have coffee/lunch with me?"

is that cheesy? and too confident?

we are not close friends btw. we just talk in class
