Talking to your children about sex?

Why do so many parents think that if they talk to their children about sex it's giving the children permission to have sex or condoning it?

    My parents never said anything about it and i still did it when i was 16. Talking about it is better than not doing anything at all

    In these modern time, when a child is old enough to talk with, about sex, they probably already know more that you would even tell them.. Maybe YOU could learn from them.

    Don't know I'm 19 and my parents never gave me the talk, and I am also still a virgin, I'll have sex when I find the right person.
