Does smoking lower protection of birth control?

I heard that smoking and birth control are bad but I couldn't find any answers to as if it will lower the chance of getting pregnant. I smoke 1-4 cigarettes a day.

Yea, you could read the information that came with your pill pack, or even looked it up online but were too lazy to educate yourself about a medication that you've decided to take.

It has nothing to do with the efficacy of the birth control. Combined with smoking, it increases the chance of a fatal blood clot.
