We had some solar panels fitted a couple of years back, after this they kept calling trying to get us to buy add on products, when I said no they just put the phone down on me, in the end I told them to go away, I feel my rudeness was justified in these circumstances.
On another occasion a hopeful Jehovah's Witness came to the door and caught me on a bad day, I told her to go away and not come back. This was rude but it did the trick, they don't call here anymore, probably have us marked down as godless heathens.
