Should I take boxing classes or private lessons?

I want to start boxing. I want to become a good fighter and also just get a good exercise. Learn to throw a great punch etc. Are classes good enough or should I look for a gym that has one on one lessons?

Nothing can beat the atmosphere of a Boxing Gym. The equipment, the knowledge from trainers and other boxers, watching others is extremely helpful, the sweat and testosterone in the air gives you a boost. You will get some one to one in any good Boxing Gym, particularly in the beginning, you can spar with people of your weight and skill level and light spar with more experienced, heavier and lighter boxers. Believe me it is a great life experience; you may have apprehensions and/or be intimidated as first but as in life you will face these FIRST over and over again but you will have more confidence and less fear.
