    Serena's pregnancy leaves a void in the sport of tennis because she is World #1 and the titleholder of the most recent grand slam, 2017 Australian Open and the reigning Wimbledon champion.

    The underlying speculation also is that at age 35 will she even want to come back?

    Some of the best players (Kvitova, Azarenka, Sharapova) haven't been playing, the number one is kind of embarrassing, Pliskova has no consistency, Halep is always broken...

    If the greatest of this era (like her or not – me, not) stops playing, the WTA becomes kind of a joke.
