I worked just over 5 hours before clocking out for lunch.?

I altered the time I clocked out so that It showed I clocked out before 5 hours, thus eliminating the 1 hour they should have payed me. Is what he did illegal??

is what I did legal? is it considered Time clock fraud even when I'm not making any gain from this?

    Yes it's illegal. The time clock is not for employees to mess with. You can be fired. It doesn't matter why you did it.
