Can you buy amiibos from within the amiibo display?
I saw an amiibo that ive been tracking down inside the amiibo display at a target so i asked the guy there if i could buy it from the display and he said he didnt know if they were functional so he couldnt sell it but i want to know if the amiibos within the displays work???

I doubt they're any different from regular amiibos.
That said, it may not be up to the store whether they can sell certain displays or not. Those really elaborate ones are sometimes just lent to stores by Nintendo or whoever, so they take them back when the promotional period is up.
