I haven't had my period for ages, is there something wrong?

I'm 13 and I got my period for the first time in the middle of September and it's now the end of April and I still haven't got another one. I don't know if there's something wrong or if it's just normal, what should I do?

At your age it is quite common for girls to go months between periods and then have, for example, two in one month. This irregularity can continue for the first two years or so. It results from you body adjusting to all the hormonal changes going on as you transition from child to woman. You are fine and have no reason to be worried. Hope this helps and I wish you well.
