boyfriend of 5 mnths said he wants to be just friends but I love and care about him too much. I want to go to a concert should i invite him?

I want to go to a concert that is next week friday. the rapper that i want to see is me and his favorite. we have a great time when we go out together BUT should I ask him to go even though he told me this thursday and last month that he wanted to be friends last month but i said no i don't want the relationship to end i care about him so much and have strong feelings for him. i started crying and he gave me a hug. he said i complain too much and on thursday when i went over to his house he was kissing me and said that i need to calm down. he was trying to keep me to relax but i kept telling him that he need to see me more because we barely see each other and he just say ok and thats it but i keep going because he still doesn't see me that much and we both work at different times but during my free time he spends it with his friends and i get mad. he told me that he likes me as a friend and one day someone is going to appreciate me and that i have a good head over my shoulders. he said that i'm stressing him out & that he cares about me too but don't want to hurt me. he still has our pictures on his fb and a pic of us as his background on fb and i still have our pictures up too and a pic of us as my background. what does this mean? so should i ask him if he wants to go with me? also how could i make him change his mind to keeping this relationship. he knows that i care about him so much with all my heart and i told him that.
