Help! I have been wondering this all day, and have asked numerous people all know what I'm talking about but don't know the answer.?

What is the phrase for parties that don't have a set time, as in like say the party was from 6-9 but you don't have to stay for the whole party. Its come and go whenever you want. Theres a certain phrase for it, it might be latin or french??

An "Open House" party is a good phrase to use for a come-and-go party, although I hope you don't mind it being English. ;) If you're skeptical you can try looking for synonyms for this.

I can't bring anything to mind in other languages, but just calling it 'open house' in English, and 'from 6 to 9' as further information, to be more specific to the invitees ... That's a time frame, but not a set time. That usage of 'open house' works for me, anyway...
