I was seriously considering lasik until I read this stuff. Does anyone know if its actual testimonies or just some made up anti Lasik crap?

There are a small percentage of people who have complications with their LASIK. Most of them are quite passionate in their anger over this issue. It is possible that one of them created more testimonials out of thin air. However, there are enough real people who feel that their lives have been ruined by LASIK that if reading true accounts like that would be enough to convince you not to have LASIK, you should not have it. I think one of the issues is that wealthy people who tend to be type A and get their way are more likely to have LASIK. There is also an issue that people who had LASIK had perfectly functional eyes before the surgery. You can tolerate some bad results if you had to have the surgery. The truth is that the vast majority of people who have LASIK are delighted that they had it.

The time to read this stuff is before you had LASIK or after your eyes have stabilized. It surprises me how many people find this stuff between the time they have had the procedure and the time that they know that everything is fine.
