Legal questions about schools?
I know someone who graduated in 1969. Back then his school passed him through grades so he could play football and later graduated him to get him through. Today he can hardly read above 2nd grade level. He was not even in the "slow" class which they had. All the jobs he ever got were low paying. Now he is getting set to retire and will bring home only 1100 a month. I think they did him an injustice. Can he go back and sue the school for this? (Ps I am trying to teach him to read now)

Way too long after. The statutes of limitations will have expired in any state in the US.

The problem is that this person was fully aware of what was going on at the time and he participated in the "scam". That scam is going on today as much as it ever did in 1969.

Even if he could sue, his damages are way too speculative. If he wasn't reading at a 2nd grade level in high school, who is to say he would have graduated at all.
