Why do people think he's black when he's mixed with more white than black?

No one has to be told what race someone is, if they have good-enough vision to see for themselves. Now ethnicity, that's usually a different story.

Because he obviously looks more black than white. Many African Americans are of mixed ancestry, but they still look predominately black and are perceived as black.
