How much trouble could you get in for pouring hot coffee on someone?

All depends on how badly you burned them and how much coffee your burned them with.

If it were just warm coffee you night get away with just a cleaning bill or having to replace

the clothing you ruined. Or it could go to court and be sued for medical bills , lost time

from work and pain and suffering and there can also be jail time. Oh and if they are

permanently scared add lots more on to it ...lots more. Plus the jury will be sympathetic

to the person that got burnt.

well if its an accident then no big deal. if it wasnt.... well..... a lot. depends if the victim is forgiving

It is considered Assault. You can be arrested, jailed, and ordered to pay restitution(Pay all medical bills of burned victim). But, the question here is WHY would you even ask this, and why are you so stupid as to NOT know how much trouble you can get into?
