Race of a person with multiple background?

[NO RACISM INTENDED] just out of curiosity, If a child has parents of 2 different race, example - father is black and mother is asian, and the child has similarities with both parents, then what will he/she be considered? Black or asian? or will he/she be called mixed race?

    Technically Biracial/Mixed race but will be perceived in society as whatever race they look more like.

    Usually when one of the parents in black the child tends to come out looking more black than the other half, because black genetics are dominant.
