The longest winning streak to open an NBA season is owned by the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors. They won 24 straight games before suffering their first loss.

Lakers won 33 straight games in 1971 and the 2001 Lakers playoff team won 12 in row and sweep the first three teams they played in the playoffs until losing their first game in the 2001 Nba finals to the 76ers but I believe they're still the best ever playoff team because they went 16-1 in the 2001 playoffs and no other team has done that.
