How can I get the Internet on my tablet when I have a cell phone which can go online?

I'm getting a tablet. At times I will not be in wifi range for Internet usage on my tablet. How can I get the Internet on my tablet when I am outside of WiFi range but I have a cell phone which can go online anywhere?

    Cell phone: Just set up a wifi hot spot.

    Some smart phones offer a WiFi hotspot. With cellular Internet turned on and the hotspot enabled, the phone will act as a wireless router allowing you to connect to it by WiFi and use the cellular Internet from the tablet.

    Tablets can have cellular data plans, but only certain tablets.

    My iPhone allows me to link with my iPad. The iPhone can then use its data plan for the iPad. Just a warning - this will BURN through data, so if you have a limited plan, you'll want to be careful about this.
