there would Be no USA without the French at Yorktown

at Dunkirk it was the French army protecting our 6 whilst we evacuated 340,000 Men from the beaches

the Government Surrendered Not the army and like all Good soldiers they obey orders

You do realize that the only reason we have the United States is because the French assisted us and pretty much won the war with Britain for us at Yorktown?

they in fact are not surrendering when it comes to their colonies. Britishmen got out from many countries peacefully, with respect to newly independent countries without spreading blood, but the Frenchs were fighting wars in every former colony: Indochina[Vietnam], Algeria, Haiti. Thery were indeed exploiters and for that colonies they were ready to fight&die or at least send foreigners from Foreign League to die there.
