If 15.0 g of sodium bicarbonate are mixed with 125 mL of 0.150 M acetic acid, how much gaseous product can be isolated?

Update:

I think it's asking how much hydrogen gas will be created in the reaction, but I'm not certain. A "best answer" shows the process of how to get to the answer, and not just the answer. So I can do the next one like this on my own. Thank you!

    THe reaction will be: NaHCO3 + CH3COOH --> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

    Calculate moles of NaHCO3: 15.0 g / 84.01 g/mol = 0.1785 mol

    Calculate moles acetic acid:

    0.125 L X 0.150 mol/L = 0.01875 mol

    So, acetic acid is the limiting reactant:

    0.01875 mol HAc X (1 mol CO2 / 1 mol HAc) = 0.01875 mol CO2

    If you need to know a volume of CO2, you'd need to specify a temperature and a pressure.

    If you want a mass of CO2, just multiply moles CO2 by its molar mass.
