That being said, I'd prefer it to be Trey Gowdy... if he'd take the job and he indicated in an interview he'd be interested.

No Trump would never pick Garland because Garland was an Obama pick.

It would be a good pick, which is why Trump cannot do it. If he appoints anyone with integrity, he will end up being impeached for both Russian collusion and obstruction of justice. His only chance is to appoint a partisan hack that is afraid to cross him.

All that would do is remind liberals that the Republicans totally porked them on that one. So, no, he wouldn't.
