What are some good ways to calm yourself down after a stressful situation/ keep yourself calm during one?

    Exercise works well and so does doing the things you normally find relaxing and calming. Looking at a green space (an area with flowers or other plants) for a few minutes has been proven to relax people. Meditation or mindfulness works well too and both are recommended for those who struggle with anxiety issues.

    i have noticed that exercise and cold showers make me calm and remove anxiety.

    exercise when it's after. go to a gym and run or lift weights. you feel better to about your self.

    just breathe deep when during one, and take a minute to think. have water with you. chew some gum to keep you busy and focused. (make sure it's sugarless gum to avoid dental issues). if you can, listen to music, especially if you're at a work place stressful situation, and are allowed to listen to music. if it is in work, don't be afraid to ask for a five minute break and come back to it. maybe move onto another project and circle back around.
