    Your audience will be in their early or mid teens. The heroes should be in their mid teens. 18 is cutting it fine. 19 is a sidekick age. They can still be a primary character (like 4 or Peeta or whoever was memorable in the Maze Runner) but not the main character.

    No, but you are getting close.

    You have to make sure your audience can identify with your main character.
