Will humanity really be extinct in less than 10 years due to climate change?
According to Guy McPherson, a biology professor at the University of Arizona and a climate change expert, humans will become extinct in less than 10 years due to climate change, and nothing we do can stop it.
Moreover, his estimate is also shared by Professor James Renwick, a climate scientist at Victoria University.

Only in the mythology of nitwits brainwashed by anti-science liars is McPherson any kind of "climate expert."
He is about as much an "expert" in climate science as Monckton, which is to say he basically doesn't know beans about it.
And for every wannabe McPherson eco-alarmist, there are a thousand science-hating wannabe Monckton non-fossil-fuel alarmists.

I'm sure we are in a historic (in a world sense) extinction event caused by people. People have been introducing animals and diseases and spreading them around the world and outright killing some species. That doesn't mean HUMANS are going to go extinct. This man is batty and he might seriously consider checking in to a mental ward. Of all the threats out there, our CO2 emissions are pretty low on the totem pole.

Mr McPherson is out of step with mainstream climate science. Although it is widely accepted that unchecked climate change could threaten the human species at some point in time, most scientists say switching from reliance on fossil fuels to renewable energy will save the worst impacts and enable humanity to survive.
