Why does my dad praise my friends but not me? He tells my friends "good job!" when they get lower grades than me but says I could do better!?
I consistently get B plus and A minus in my class but my friends only get Bs me?and yet he praises them and not me. He always says : "here's an opportunity for you to raise your grades".
I'm not as smart as him. What does he want from me? All my friends' dads are proud of their daughters and happy with their efforts. But me, sometimes I wonder if he loves me.
I never feel like I'm good enough in his eyes.

Probably because you are a HUGE disappointment to him and your friend is the kind of son he wishes he had.

Because he's not their dad. Always pushing you to do your best at everything in life is something you're going to thank him for someday.
