Could be because we believe health care is a right and not in regressive fantasies.

Because it's more cost-effective, leads to better health outcomes, and will save Americans from being robbed blind by insurance companies. Every country in Western Europe has a single-payer system, it's time the US caught up with us.

Prove what you say is true. When you lie or make things up it is you that look like a fool.

First hand experience with universal healthcare (aka "single payer system") in Europe:

    You can choose your doctor(s).

You can change your doctor at any time.

You get 100% healthcare, GPs, specialists, tests, hospitalization, ER, etc., with the latest scanners, and top-notch tech. No "decisions" necessary.

All prescription medications are heavily subsidized and 100% free for pensioners and everyone admitted to a hospital.

You pay a VERY small monthly amount, deducted by your employer from your salary or paid by you if self-employed, which includes not only healthcare for yourself AND ALL your dependents, but also funding towards your retirement pension.

Beats crazy American private insurance with insane premiums and even more insane "deductibles".

    Just saying'

Pros: It provides universal coverage. It lowers healthcare costs significantly.

It is popular in Canada and other countries.

Medicare is an example of single-payer.

Cons: There are excessive delays for certain treatments.

Overall, I think it beats our system. I haven't heard of any country that has a single payer system switching to a complete free market system. Insurance companies in the free market system are there to make profits off you and if you have a preexisting condition, it would be profitable to not cover you.

Universal healthcare does not equate to banning private insurance. Learn what it is before commenting.

In fact, since most sick poor people wouldn't buy private insurance if UHC existed, premiums would come way down.

Why do conservatives demand a health care system that leaves millions of Americans with no coverage?

    That's the point.

Leftist fascists want to make your decisions for you.
