Just ask exactly what you'd like to say! If you are only looking for a friend, the worst he could say is no or maybe another time. A simple "Hey, wanna hang out after school sometime?" should do the trick.

Have your friend put a check yes or no type note in his DinoTrux lunchbox.
If you're of an age where that's inappropriately sexual, then you shouldn't even be speaking to other people without a chaperone.
