URGENT NEED IDEAS FOR FATHER S DAY?

Question

I m 18 and currently waiting to start training at my new job in two weeks, so I don t have very much money. I went all out for mother s day because I had a job at the time and was able to afford everything I wanted to give to my mom.

Now father s day is coming up and I have no idea what to do for my dad. I don t want to buy candy or any kind of sweets because my mom ALWAYS has candy around the house and she always gets a Boston cream pie every father s day.

Here s some things about my dad: He s not one to go out to dinner and a movie or anything with my mom because it s just never been their thing. Sometimes he ll go out to the garage to play his drums and he used to be in a band. He loves to barbeque and he s a lake kinda guy so he loves to drive our boat and go on lake trips all through summer.

I was thinking of maybe finding out his favorite bands so he can go to a concert or something but I have no idea how to purchase concert tickets, I ve never been to one myself. Any ideas based off this little bit of information? Please Help. Thanks!! xx

plenty of sites online where you can order concert tickets, and you can check the band's website to find their tour dates and it should have info on getting tickets. He's your dad so he'll understand you are a bit strapped for cash at the moment. One thing you can do is find out what bands are going to be touring near you and tell him to pick one on fathers day, then you also won't have to pay for tickets immediately.

Go to the Dollar Store and make him a nice basket/Dad Kit:
Beer coozie
Sun screen (for when he's on the boat)
Funky sunglasses and matching lei (he's a dad, he'll love it)
Funky straws (for the beer)
Ear buds (hopefully he's savvy enough to have an MP3 or iPhone with his fave music)
Some snackies (pork rinds, candy, chips, nuts, whatever)
Put it in a basket or something and let him know you love him. He's 50% of the reason you're here today asking this question!
