if all domesticated dogs decent from wolves why are there wild dogs?

    because some escaped their owners and went ferral hence we have coyotes

    Because some people are @ssholes and just go out to the country and dump their unwanted dogs and they have to figure out how to survive.

    Who says all canines have to only come from one source? They don't. Different areas of the world had different species evolve. Asia, Australia, the canine variations don't just follow one string of species.

    true wild dog are often a completely different species.

    AND those that are just regular dogs that turned feral over time..they still descended from wolves.

    Well there are other species of wild canids besides wolves.

    And ferals are domestic dogs that reverted back to a wild animal. They dont revert back to wolves. Some of the traits of wolves are long bred out.

    There are feral dogs, but dogs are a domesticated species.
