How do you type the cent symbol ¢ without having to go to the character map and copy/paste?

I want to make a shortcut key on my PC. But don't remember how. I used to know it on my old computer. I'm using windows 10.

Also how do you type this symbol in Android phones? I'm using Android 7 Nougat.

It seems that this would be more user friendly.

Hold the Alt key then type 155 on the number pad then release the Alt key. Dunno about Android.

I tried alt 155 (pressed and held alt while typing 155 and nothing happened)

Just do alt-155 on Windows. I don't know on Android, should be an option maybe if you press and hold the currency sign on the on screen keyboard.
