Brandon places a 5Ō kg crate on an inclined plane (as shown below). The coefficient of friction between
the crate and the inclined plane is 0.35. Find all forces acting on the crate and find the acceleration of the
crate. the incline is 25 degrees

There are three forces acting on the crate:
(i) weight, down, equal to 50kg * 9.8m/s²
(ii) friction, up the incline, equal to 0.35 * 50kg * 9.8m/s² * cos25º
(iii) normal force, perpendicular to the incline, equal to 50kg * 9.8m/s² * cos25º
Parallel to the incline, net force
m*a = m*g*sinΘ - friction force
50kg * a = 50kg * 9.8m/s² * sin25º - 0.35 * 50kg * 9.8m/s² * cos25º
solves to
a = 1.0 m/s²
to two significant digits.
Hope this helps!
