What is the best piece of advice you can give to a young person( please only answer if you are over 58 years old)?

Think, don't take any thing for granted and seldom act upon impulse unless doing so is imperative to your safety or that of others.

Don't take anyone's word for something you have not personally experienced. Investigate, seek reliable, verifiable and quantifiable observed evidence. Systematically and methodically probe and check out what you see, hear and think in a self correcting manner.

Take care of your body as it is where you live and it allows you to do the things you want to do.

Eat healthy. Exercise daily.

Enjoy life and stop worrying. If you can resolve a problem then act to do so. If you can't change things then let them be and make the best of them.

Life is a struggle and a challenge wherein thing might not always or often go as you prefer. If you face these challenges and struggles bravely you may best them and be better for it and you will always be the better for trying. Life favors the strong so be strong.

Don't be concerned with death or dying. If you are alive now then death has not taken you so don't worry about it. When death does take you, worry about it would do no good even if you could worry at that time.

Money and material goods / wealth are not the object of life so don't cling to them nor desire that which you do not need.
