Economic vs financial?

Are both sentences correct, and what is the difference?

''I struggle because of my financial situation''.

''I struggle because of my economic situation''.

    You would only use 'financial' when referring to one's personal situation. 'Economic' would be used for the situation of a country, state, or city, or the world, etc.

    Economic condition is more than financial condition. It includes also the real sector, not only money.
