Yes, it's weird for a guy, but no more weird than other things some guys do. If I saw someone that looked like a guy with that haircut, I would look carefully to be sure I didn't misgender the person. But I wouldn't judge a guy for that, or treat him any differently. If your overall look was emo, I'd just assume it's your emo style. Otherwise, I'd consider a crossdresser, or transgendered, maybe some kind of hair fetish, or even a guy in a band. Those things are just as common among straight guys as gay guys, so I wouldn't assume you're gay.

It is a very feminine haircut and I don't know if I've seen any guys with it, maybe some scene emo boys. If you can pull it off, that's bold. But it might make you a lightning rod for some negative attention. I don't know if the first thing people will suspect is that you crossdress because of it, but they may think you gay or maybe transgender.
