Help what are the rules to move out 30 day notice ?
i will be seeing the new building to where i will be moving tomorrow . When i sign the papers she said i would then be able to contact my current landlord to do my notice . But she also did mention that most places do not let you do a 30 day notice in the middle of the month so most likely i would not be moving til August 1st. Which i am okay with but just wanted to know why the 30 days cant start from when I sign the forms tomorrow and do the walk thru? thx

Unless you are in CA or FL, the 30 day notice takes effect on the first day of the next rental period. In CA, the notice is literally 30 days. In FL, you have to give written notice 15 days prior to the end of the current rental period.
Google and read the landlord/tenant laws for your state to find out for yourself what they are.

The 30 day notice always begins from the date of the month when you pay your rent so the landlord can collect the whole rent. You can sign a lease to start on the 15th if it is offered.

normally you give the 30 day notice that is 30 days from the date of the term of your lease, ie if your rent is due the 30th, would expect to vacate by the 30th of the following month
if your rent is due the 1st, the 1st of the next month(when rent is due)
if you move out middle of the month you have paid for the month and you might convince the landlord to refund the unused portion but he is not required to do so

30 day notice, in all states but CA, starts at beginning of next rental period (typically 1st of month, but basically, when rent is due for the month). In CA, it's actually 30 days from date of notice.
Because that is how the state law works.

Depends on the law where you live and also depends on your written contract, you need to read the contract and the tenant/landlord laws where you are.failing that you need to ask your landlord/agency you rent from

It doesn't have to be only 30 days notice, it can be longer than that. You can sign the papers tomorrow and give your present landlord notice that you will be moving out July 31. So give 45 days notice.

State laws dictate when it takes affect unless you agreed to something different in your contract (lease).

You can move tomorrow but you'll probably be responsible for the rent at your current apartment. The 30 day notice must coincide with the rent due date. So you'll probably owe rent for June and July.

Because most rental contracts require a full rental period's notice. A rental period is generally from the 1st to the last of the month.
No one here knows what your rental contract says including your new landlord. If you want to know what's actually required of you, read it.

Because most leases say notice period must be on the 1st. You can give it before then, (and should) but you still owe rent till Aug. 1st.
