why does netflix take so long to put a new season to their series?

like for orange is the new black why does it take a whole year to update the show ?? for other channels they take less than a year

    because of the contract they have with that tv show

    Filming takes a long time and then they have to edit the episodes which takes time too.

    Netflix releases all the episodes all at once so of course it's going to take longer as opposed to other networks who release one episode a week
