Your child is a human with rights. He is not some fashion doll you dress up.

I think ear piercing is best left for when the child can ask for it.
Our girls were around age seven when they wanted theirs pierced.
There is no benefit to infant ear piercing.

No but my sister in law did it. She did it against her husband's wishes and the baby's ears became infected.
He is now 18 months old. He is always grabbing at his ears so he seems uncomfortable.
Your child is not a doll to dress up. I consider it kinda cruel to put holes in his ears so he can look cute or badass or whatever you're going for but to each his/her own.
