It's June - which is traditionally rainy in lots of areas. And with global warming more and more water is being picked up in the Caribbean and moved up into the Midwest - so we have slightly more severe storms now.

Depends where you are. In California, we aren't getting "a lot of rain these days" - though we did get enough rain this past winter to declare the drought over.
