When Obama told the Congress about hard evidence that Russia was hacking the election why did they refuse to look at the issue?

The stated policy of the GOP in Congress was to oppose any action by Obama.

Because he lied to them about almost everything else so why would they believe him with that claim?

When a person cries wolf too often they loose all credibility.

Then when they really need someone to believe them they do not.

But the fault lies at the person that made too many false claims not with those that feel they were fooled one too many tines.

Obama didn't want congress or anyone else to investigate; as they, Obama and Hillary, would have been found out.

It's to Administrative agencies - FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. - not Congress - to deal with such issues.

Apparent hacking in some instances is not the same as definite proof of hacking on a major scale, and no one understood how bad the hacking had been until basically October, a couple weeks ahead of the election. Well, everyone in Congress was busy with the election at the time. They weren't even in session, so clearly congress couldn't investigate anything. Why did Obama and the justice department play it low key? Probably because they did not want to make Comey of it.

Look at the ****-storm that Comey caused with his "we have new Clinton emails to look at" announcement. Imagine if Obama said "we think Russians are hacking the US in an effort to help Trump". Yeah, that would have gone over REAL well.
