Does anyone know about home DNA Tests.?

I have heard that if you are female, only your maternal DNA information is shown. You have to be male for maternal and paternal DNA info to show up. Anyone know if this is true. This is for geneology purposes, like tests from Ancestry.com.

    What you have "heard" is incorrect. Check the Ancestry site for the three types of DNA testing used in Genealogical research.
