What's your view/opinion on gay people?
My opinion: I feel like you can be whoever you want to be as long as you aren't HURTING anyone in anyway. Nothing wrong with liking the same gender. People always say it should be Girl and Guy but just because we can make babies with a girl and guy doesn't mean you MUST be with the opposite gender. It also doesn't give you the right to hate. Disliking gays is fine in my eyes but I think hate is just over the top.

It's not even a reason to dislike anyone over what they do in privacy and that is legal. They can't say it's because they spread HIV when it's people not being safe in their safe sex practices is what makes it spread and that's all on the individual, not gays. It's not their fault others are not getting tested and using protection or even getting on Prep (basically giving you immunity towards HIV). Nor is it their fault when a heterosexual catches thinking it's only gays that spread it.
People need to be more honest about why they hate gays because in order for you to hate, there has to be something that touches you in a very personal way which is usually spawned from fear. They have a dog in the fight in regards to homosexuals when it shouldn't have anything to do with them at all. Gays owe nothing to anyone to validate what they think the relationship between man and woman should be, nor tip toe around the children they brought into this world knowing gays were in. They are allowed to have their own ideas and live out those ideas just as everyone else is doing.

I used to have an extremely negative view on them and looked down on them but this contempt vanished after I understood homosexuality and became friends with a lesbian roughly my age.
I view homosexuals as people who are just attracted to the same sex of their sex. I have absolutely nothing against them.
