Is using an insect fogger safe with children?

I have a carpenter ant infestation and they are in the wall voids, and I was told using a deep penetrating fogger would definitely kill them. I have 2 little kids, they will be at their grandparents for the weekend, and my wife and I will come home without them and clean the entire house before they come back. Will it still be safe for the kids even after cleaning up etc?

yes. follow the instructions on the fogger label as far as re-entry period and airing out and cleaning the home. be scrupulous about cleaning the floors and lower levels of the rooms and furniture. Remove or bag up or cover bedding and soft toys (particularly items they spend a lot of time with or might put in their mouth), or as many of that kind of thing you can so you do not have to wipe down every item in the house. if you do that, your kids' exposure to the actual chemical will be minimal at most.
