I'm not pretty enough for the guy I like? :(?
So theres this guy who I really like. The other day we were playing truth or dare in a group of friends, including him. One of my friends who knows I like this guy asked him "would you ever date my friend (which is me)". He said no because "I have standards for how my girlfriend should look, appearance is important to me. I like tall, slim and beautiful girls". He said it in a serious way, he wasn't joking. The atmosphere after that was really awkward so I just smiled awkwardly and a few minutes later, I made up some excuse to leave. This really really hurt me, I just feel like I'm not good enough :(

I'm sure you are a smart, beautiful girl who any guy would be lucky to have. Do not let jerks like this get you down. Try and adopt the mentality that he is the unlucky one because he is going to miss out on being with such a great person. I would start off by cutting this guy out of your life and getting rid of anything that will remind you of him. Also, try and keep yourself as occupied as possible; if you sit around and do nothing it gives your mind that chance to drift into thinking about this guy. However, if you keep yourself busy then there is no way that sort of thing can happen. In saying all this, if you really need closure then maybe speak to him before you do any of this; you are entitled to an explanation given the emotion you invested in him. Hope I helped :)

He's an @$$hole. Try hard to forget him and open your heart to someone who loves you for who you are and knows what true beauty really is. I'm so sorry he said this to you. He'll just have to learn the hard way, i guess
