Yahoo Mail..If y9u have Yahoo Mail, are you being asked to upgrade it?

Update:

I was asked once if I wanted Standard Yahoo Mail and now I have an email asking me to upgrade it. Has anyone else received this message with an attachment. I haven[t opened it yet as I am wondering if it is authentic.

Update 2:

The Yahoo square with the Y looks right and they have used my first name which is Val. but I am still not sure whether to open it

Update 3:

The Standard email timed out so I don't have that email, so perhaps answers can you please tell me whether you are talking about the Standard Version or the latest email which has the attachment. Thanks in advance.

Update 4:

The Standard email timed out so I don't have that email, so perhaps answers can you please tell me whether you are talking about the Standard Version or the latest email which has the attachment. Thanks in advance.

I think you're referring to when you sign in right? they leave messages like that up above sometimes when you first sign in or after you sign in.

I ignore those! after I sign in I click on my little red envelope up on my tool bar.

I use the "Basic" yahoo email, I do not like their NEW improved email page.

So don't upgrade unless you THINK you need it. because sometimes they just screw thing up.

The only time I upgrade anything is if I have to upgrade Java or Adobe (they sent you a message at the bottom of the screen)

That is a phishing scam. Ignore and delete it.

Not now, but a while back I was.

The original one is just fine with me.

There is a new version going around in the world. It is Yahoo's newest mail inbox. As time passes everyone, as I and many others have, will receive a message as you sign in asking you if you want to try the new version. Once you confirm, you will not be able to get the previous one.

At first, I was disappointed with the new version; but in a few days I learned how to use it and it is not bad at all.

There are small glitches that I overcame them: The "More Settings" could not be seen, but enlarging the page by clicking the small square at the top right, it will appear. Another glitch is that I couldn't keep the font size on large when I compose. It kept going to small after I send an email. So I placed it on X-large and this made it remain always on Large even though it is set on X-Large.

Not many are aware of this new version; and this is why they respond "No upgrades available" or "What upgrade?"

    Sounds suspicious............I wouldn't open it.

I have it but haven't received anything about upgrading. In fact it's been years ago when they were changing it. I would wait to see if they send anymore notices or contact customer support

I upgraded mine last week. The only noticeable changes are color scheme and all the attachments u were sent or received are combined into one folder. Nothing fancy
