No I don't believe it's mental abuse but it can be hard for both of you, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this and if you ever need anyone to talk to just give me a shout.

No but you have some serious marital problems and both of you should be seeing a marriage counselor. Not wanting to have sex is a result of marital unresolved problems - it is not the problem itself. If one doesn't want to go to counseling then it is either time to end the marriage or to agree to live together as roommates. Sad to say but about one-third of all married couples live together as roommates only; each having their own bedroom if they have a spare bedroom and living lives pretty much separate from the other. They usually stay together for financial reasons and/or their shared history and family together.

And believe it or not, plenty of people live without having sex and are not mentally ill because of it.
