Marry in Vegas?

Hello. I would like to ask a serious question. Next week my boyfriend and I are planning to marry in Vegas. I m from the U.K. And he is from the usa. I was reading online about the documentation you need. Which I have my passport and drivers license I just couldn t find my birth certificate. And now I m worried I can marry my true love. Has anyone else got married in Vegas from the U.K. Without their birth cert?

Thank you in advance

You NEED to talk to someone at a US consulate to find out what the immigration department thinks about this.

You don't need a birth certificate to get married. Marriage in the US is easier than in just about anyplace else in the world. Here's what I found: "Proof of name and age will be required, so don't forget to bring your valid driver's license, passport, military ID card or other government-issued ID card. Other combinations of ID that contain your photograph along with an original/certified birth certificate or social security card are cool too. "

    Your passport will be fine.

There is a whole process to get married and live in the USA.

My friend's daughter married a man for the UK. It took a year to get everything in order, then once married it was another six months before he could work here. Marrying him (if you can ) doesn't grant you immigration rights.

I highly suggest seeing an immigration lawyer

Coming here on a visitor visa and getting married can cause problems in your further to live in the USA
